During the Battle of the Duke , Ludvik Svoboda learned that his son, Miroslav, was murdered at the age of 18 in the concentration camp of Mauthausen . Both brothers Irena Svobodová Jaroslav and Eduard and nephew Jan Doležal were executed there. Anežka Stratilová, mother of Irena Svobodová, was murdered in the concentration camp Ravensbrück.
